What data we process and why
- If you contact us by WhatsApp, email, phone or a form: your name, contact details and what you tell us, so we can reply. Legal basis: your consent and, if you ask about a stay or about managing your home, steps taken before entering into a contract.
- If you stay in a home we manage: the booking details (dates, guests and contact) to manage your stay, which is the performance of the contract, and the identity details required by the Spanish traveller registration rules so we can report them to the authorities, which is a legal obligation (Royal Decree 933/2021). Online payments are processed by our payment provider: we do not store your card details.
- If you are an owner or ask us for a valuation: your contact details and those of your home to prepare the valuation and our proposal (steps before a contract) and, if we work together, the data needed for the management contract, statements and invoicing (performance of the contract and tax obligations).
- Marketing communications: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Browsing: with your permission, analytics and advertising cookies. See our cookie policy.
How long we keep it
For as long as the relationship lasts and then for the periods required by law: for example, 3 years for traveller registration and up to 6 years for accounting and tax records. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking or a contract are deleted after 12 months.
Who we share it with
- The authorities, when the law requires it: traveller registration and the Spanish Tax Agency.
- Airbnb or Booking.com, when the booking is made through them.
- Providers acting on our behalf (data processors), under contract and only to provide their service: hosting and database (Vercel, Supabase), booking management software (Hostify), email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe), document storage (Google), messaging (WhatsApp) and, if you accept them, analytics and advertising (Google and Meta).
We never sell your data.
Transfers outside Europe
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. They do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@jvproperties.es. If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Security
We protect your data with technical and organisational measures: restricted access, encrypted connections and providers with appropriate safeguards.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date.
